I'll always wanted to have Slash's hair first, then his guitar. Guess some dreams will remain dreams. However due to (1) overwhelming request, just a brief Slash primer:
Lead guitarist for Guns N' Roses (as if you didn't already know). He quit the band after the second album and struck off on his own with Slash's Snakepit (the dude loves snakes, check out the video Patience). Lately he formed Velvet Revolver with some GNR buddies, although they was some issues with the singer. Personally, the lineup during their debut album Appetite for Destruction was their tightest, later albums didn't have the swaggering and feel-good pornographic imagery. Unfortunately, Izzy Stradlin' (the band other guitarist, but his bluesy playing oozes sleaze in spades, perfectly complemented Slash's breakaway virtuoistic but melodic style) left the band after their second album, and I feel they went downhill after that. Some songs to check out, Sweet Child of Mine, November Rain, hell, just buy Appetite for Destruction.
This post is useless without links, so...
Slash uses Seymour Duncan Alnico 2 Pros in his Gibson Les Paul clone, and Marshall amplifiers.
